There is a Light at the End of the Tunnel

Just when I thought it would NEVER happen...

Beckam went to bed at 10:00pm and I did not hear a peep until 5:00am then he woke up, chowed and then zonked again!
Whoohoo...Lets hear it for 7 hours!!

Beckam: 2 months

Beckam Month 2 (just a little late)
  • You still love to sleep, although not even close to through the night.
  • Always smile at mommy.
  • Love to get kisses and will always smile after.
  • Giggle in your sleep.
  • You are never sad for long, even if you get "accidentally" bonked in the head by a certain brother.
  • Never, never, never sleep during sacrament meeting, even if you are exhausted.
  • Are completely loved and adored by your family.

Today you...
weighed: 12lbs 13oz
measured: 23 1/2 inches long
and...

Survived 3 shots like a champ!

A San Diego Birthday

We had a San Diego birthday for this big guy! We were so excited to have Jared home for the week and had the awesome opportunity, thanks to Jason and Melissa, to go to Sea World and the San Diego zoo. When Jared and I were trying to decide what to do for the week my parents gave us the advice to just go to a hotel and let Cade swim to which I replied, "we swim every day, he will not think that is cool...."

At the zoo Cade found this ledge on one of his adventures and thought it was sooooo cool. He would stand there and perform for any one and everyone that walked by. Such a goof ball!

He was also fascinated by the giraffes. There was a baby giraffe that had been born 2 days before. He just sat and contemplated how this "baby" giraffe could still be so big. It was so fun to watch the wheels turn as he tried to figure that one out.

When we went to Sea World this was Cades reaction to Shamu. Meanwhile Jared was standing up hollering "whohooo" and texting pictures to everyone he could think of.

And this is how Beckam felt about the whole experience....

Every once in a while we got to see these cute peepers and share the experience with him. He was such a good baby and was so willing to go with the flow. Such an angel!

Cade once again watching Samu... Daring the whale to impress him.

He really got into the starfish and thought it was cool that he could hold them under the water. I also saw a lot of this view too while we were there...such cute cheeks!
Becks had his first ride in the Biorn. We looked like total idiots trying to balance him and figure out how to put it on Jared and then how to get Beckam inside. And you can see how he felt about the whole experience. I had to throw in the second picture because I LOVE Jareds eyes and smile...these are the eyes and smile that I fell in love with.

Here are my 2 boys, one now 3 and the other 2 months...unbelievable. The second one is not a good picture but it so reveals their personalities and relationship with one another. Cade silly and holding tight to Beckams neck and Beck just willing to sit back and be patient.

And when all was said and done.... All Cade wanted to do was...

SWIM in the pool.
Go figure!
Once a parent, always a parent, and I guess they really do know everything, even if they are grandparents now!

Happy Birthday Cadeo! We love you my sweet! You are the best, most entertaining, and energetic 3 year old ever!

Today you...
weighed: 34 1/2 pounds
measured: 37 1/2 inches
And....
tore your band aid off as soon as you had your shot!

Good-Bye

We are on our way out to sunny California for a few days. When we return we will have one another year older, another one (hopefully, hopefully, HOPEFULLY) sleeping through the night and a whole lot of fun stories to share! Have a good week....
(the picture above is of a friends little girl. I got to take her 1-year-old pictures the other day and had so much fun!! Isn't she adorable!?)

These ones have nothing to do with saying good-bye but she is too cute to resist sharing them!
See ya...

Jumping on the Bandwagon...

I wasn't going to do it. I was going to be the one that held out and did not do the same thing that everyone else did but I have thought and thought about this and become actually rather curious about what others would come up with. I had a fun time thinking of memories of others and reliving some fun and forgotten days of my childhood. So, now that I am in the trenches of my babies childhood I invite you to relive our moments together (either with me or Jared) and share them so that my mind can occupy other things besides diapers, discipline, and lots and lots of wrestling and toy cars.... Enjoy!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
